T&C 93:11
In 1959 Keith Marston printed a brilliant little book titled,
"Missionary Pal: Reference guide for missionaries & teachers."2 For decades this handy reference guide supported LDS missionaries in their sincere attempt to teach the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
In 2017 the Lord accepted the Restoration Scriptures as His Holy Word and offered a sacred covenant unto His people.3 At that time the new scriptures became the “rod of iron” which all our invited to hold. (1 Nephi 2:8-9).
In 2019 the Lord provided The Stick of Joseph in the Hand of Ephraim, thus fulfilling at a deeper level the prophecy recorded in the book of Ezekiel. (RE Ezekiel 19:4)
In response, the Remnant Missionary Pal has been compiled to assist those who desire to transition fully into the Restoration Scriptures and live the covenant offered by God.
Abide and Receive His Mysteries
It is not enough to receive my covenant, but you must also abide it. And all who abide it, whether on this land or any other land, will be mine and I will watch over them and protect them in the day of harvest, and gather them in as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. I will number you among the remnant of Jacob, no longer outcasts, and you will inherit the promises of Israel. You shall be my people and I will be your God and the sword will not devour you. And unto those who will receive will more be given until they know the mysteries of God in full. Answer and Covenant 4
Topics summarized begin with foundational truths and expand into principles relevant to offering light and truth to the world. (T&C 166:1).
Restoration references are bolded for learning and memorization. Traditional LDS sources are listed in (parenthesis).
When possible, a "notes" section has been added at the end of each topic, that the participant might record personal revelations, references and insights.
When utilizing the Remnant Missionary Pal please remember any attempt to summarize God's Holy Word is always subjective and incomplete. With God, "the Truth" is always different, deeper, and more! Thus, any mistakes or mis-application is the error of the authors.
This text is offered in praise and celebration for Almighty God and the gift of His Eternal Word. Let all Glory be given to Father and Mother for the Majesty of their Holy Son!
