MINISTRY AMONG LATTER DAY SAINTS
"If the gentiles will repent and return unto me, saith the Father, behold, they shall be numbered among my people, O house of Israel." 3 Nephi 7:5
God and His Word confirm that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is currently in a state of apostasy. Observing how the LDS institution is violating scripture, while simultaneously fulfilling prophecy, is useful only if it results in personal repentance. The following summary is provided to encourage all who trust in the Lord to choose truth over tradition.
It is written,“…If they will repent and hearken unto my words, and harden not their hearts, I will establish my church among them, and they shall come in unto the covenant and be numbered among this the remnant of Jacob, unto whom I have given this land for their inheritance; And they shall assist my people, the remnant of Jacob, and also as many of the house of Israel as shall come, that they may build a city, which shall be called the New Jerusalem.” (3 Nephi 10:1).
Today only a few “humble followers of Christ” (2 Nephi 12:2) seek a repentance sufficient to “assist” the Remnant in establishing Zion. (3 Nephi 9:11).
Despite the “awful situation” we find ourselves in, (Ether 3:18), there is hope for those willing to cast off religious vanity and unbelief. Denver Snuffer explains, “Ephraim the envious, drunkard, headstrong, idolater, and rebellious will finally repent in the last days and allow the Lord to rule over him. It will be as if Ephraim were never cast off. Ephraim will then provide those returning "crowns of glory," or in other words the intelligence, which is light and truth, or the knowledge of God. At that point no one will tell another, "Know ye the Lord," because all will know Him, from the least to the greatest. Some few Gentiles will be included." 6
The following summary encourages Latter Day Saints to trust in the Lord and receive greater light. Prioritizing eternal truth over institutional tradition is the pattern that allows a broken valiant few to contribute to the establishment of Zion.
